Top Email Marketing Mistakes Business Should Avoid

Every hour 122 billion emails are sent around the world and most of them are sent by email marketers. People are likely to buy from email sent to them if there are targeted, but there are few deadly mistakes email marketers do which leads to marketing failure and their emails are fell into the junk box or people get unsubscribed from the marketers email list.

Email-Marketing-Mistakes

Email marketing can be the cost effective and best marketing solution if the marketers handle the marketing campaign properly. Here is the top email marketing mistakes small business should avoid to grow and to get good return.

1. Sending emails like spammers: this one happens especially for new email marketers. They tend to harvest profit fast and unknowingly they send many emails two times or three times a day. I personally don’t like this type of email and I directly unsubscribe from them. People don’t like to get filled inbox by your emails, better send emails weekly or two times a week and the receiver don’t get annoyed.

2. Collecting email address without permission: how many emails do you read coming from non-subscribed websites? People don’t like to click on the emails they don’t subscribe and a small percent of non-subscribed emails get attention. If you want to prosper in the email marketing industry and want to build a real email marketing list then you should send email to who has subscribed to your website.

3. Sending emails with high sales pitch:   the spam emails have used so many eye catchy words like “Best deal”, “Click now”, “and Hurry up” and so many bold, red color lines. Don’t over use them and the best thing is to mix marketing with best quality article summary.  People will get attracted to your article and click to know more.

4. Sending emails without testing: the best email marketing campaign must have the best email marketing plan. The marketers should test the program again and again, and find the targeted area of customers’ base.

5. Sending emails at the wrong time: if your products are seasonal then send emails during the season. Sending emails to off-season may lead to cost of budget without success. Statistics shows that sending emails on Tuesday and Thursday at 10 AM lead to higher sales.

6. Not using the best email marketing software: email marketing software has the significant impact on the email marketing campaign because if you use cheap email marketing service for your large email subscribers, your emails may not be sent at the right time or maybe get delayed.  Find the best email marketing service from my last article “top 10 best email marketing software reviews” and start your email marketing journey right away.

People tend to click and to read emails everyday and if you run email marketing campaign with any mistakes you must grow the list fast and make the profit easily.
